Alexander Borunov
Chief Technology Officer
Alexander Borunov is the Chief Technology Officer at AC3D. He drives technical strategy, defines technology roadmaps, and leads the transition of R&D projects into commercially viable solutions, scaling them into serial production.
Alexander oversees a team of technical specialists, ensuring stable and high-quality performance of 3D printers used for residential and industrial construction. His responsibilities cover the full production cycle — from component sourcing and contract manufacturing partnerships to assembly, quality control, and after-sales service setup. He also contributes to commercial contract development, equipment certification, and R&D initiatives in construction 3D-printing, including intellectual property protection.
Prior to joining AC3D, Alexander spent over 10 years as a Lead Design Engineer at a major aerospace enterprise, where he designed complex tooling and custom non-standard equipment for specialised manufacturing processes. He has been working in construction 3D-printing since 2023, progressing from Lead Design Engineer to CTO. During this time, he designed a full range of 3D printers — from lab-scale to large-format outdoor systems — as well as a unique print head featuring an advanced material dosing and accumulation system. He is particularly proud of successfully transitioning the company from R&D to serial production of industrial 3D printers.
Alexander holds a Specialist degree in Materials Science in Mechanical Engineering from a technical university.
