AC3D has Completed the Development of New 3D Printer Model: Codemason – Micro Factory!

Off-Site Concrete 3D Printer by AC3D

AC3D proudly announces the launch of its next-generation Codemason Micro Factory, off-site Concrete 3D Printer engineered for off-site production. This system is a game-changer for prefab construction, allowing for scalable manufacturing of walls, infrastructure elements, urban furniture, and architectural parts within a controlled facility.

🏭 Designed for Off-Site, High-Throughput Production

The Codemason Micro Factory is designed specifically for prefab and modular production environments. Instead of printing directly at a construction site, this solution empowers contractors, developers, and manufacturers to mass-produce concrete elements at dedicated facilities—ensuring better quality control, repeatability, and cost efficiency.

“With the Micro Factory, you don’t move the printer to the project — you bring the project to the printer.”

 Technical Highlights
  • Printing Envelope: 6×4×3 meters (customizable)

  • Production Method: Modular printing bed for multiple units per session

  • Layer Height & Speed: Optimized for rapid vertical build-up and strong interlayer bonding

  • Control System: Smart automation with real-time monitoring and remote control

  • Material Compatibility: Works with standard concrete and low-carbon geopolymer mixes

  • System Type: Gantry-based for maximum stability and multi-shape capability

Why It Matters

The Compact Concrete 3D Printer – Micro Factory supports the shift toward off-site manufacturing, a growing trend in the construction sector. It helps developers:

  • Reduce construction time on site

  • Lower labor requirements and safety risks

  • Improve sustainability through controlled waste and cementless materials

  • Accelerate delivery for mass housing, infrastructure, or urban development

Use Cases in Action
  • Urban Infrastructure: Precast benches, barriers, bollards, curbs, and bus stops

  • Affordable Housing: Load-bearing or non-load-bearing walls produced in batches

  • Custom Architecture: Freeform panels, facade elements, and decorative components

  • Landscaping Elements: Planters, steps, seating modules, and retaining walls

A Factory That Prints Buildings

By integrating AC3D’s Codemason Micro Factory with digital modeling and automated material systems, users gain a streamlined, vertically integrated fabrication flow. From CAD to concrete, the micro factory eliminates delays, reduces logistics, and brings Industry 4.0 directly into the construction supply chain.

 Off-Site Concrete 3D Printer | AC3D

Micro Factory is an off-site printer designed to print a wide range of concrete parts as well as prefabs for modular construction elements.

Here are some key features of the machine:

1. Large printing area (XYZ) starts from 6x4x3 meters and is adjustable due to modular design.
2. Rigidity of the gantry structure — highest accuracy, surface quality and reliable speed of printing.
3. Robust and easy to maintain high-performance printhead, up to 1.5 cubic meters per hour.
4. The main idea of the printer was to create a scalable high-productivity stationary or mobile 3D printing factory — multiple printing heads can be installed on the same rails.
Modular tent is available for arranging a near-site 3D-printing facility.
